Patrotisim

How much do you love your country? Well think about it do you have pride in your country, do respect the flag, do you think that it’s important to thank the veterans. If the answer is yes you have a grasp of patriotism. But patriotism is more than just loving your country and saying the “Pledge of Allegiances ” when you go to school. It is about respecting our country our flag and the people who serve in the army. Even if you don’t serve in the army you can still be patriotic. Patriotism is very important all though people don’t appreciate it like they should.
People who serve in the military are shoving their love and devotion to their county and willing to fight for it. A lot of people think that you have to be in the army to be patriotic. That’s not true. All you have to do is love your country and have pride in where you live. And veterans day is a day were we can show our respect to those who have shown their devotion to our country.
All though these people gave their lives for us it is sad to see that not everyone these days are very patriotic. What makes me sad is when I was at a baseball game a couple weeks ago and not everyone stood up or took their hats off when they were supposed to sing the National Anthem. Every time you see the flag carried by the color guard you should stand up and put your hand on your heart. For the sign of respect of those who have been lost to these wars and also those who have survived them. Honestly if I was in the military I would like to see every one being patriotic . I am willing to join the Air Force when I turn 18. And I would want people to respect that. And show patriotism to all else who have made the decision to lead our country.
So over all you should just think about being patriotic and this veterans day thank those who have fought the wars.
